Expo: Charles Gaspar (1871-1950), a portrait pictorialist
The 20th anniversary of the opening of the Museum pays tribute to Charles Gaspar (1871-1950) through an exhibition of his photographs. It was he who, through his will, bequeathed this residence to the City of Arlon on the condition of making it a museum.
Thanks to a significant donation made by his descendants in 2012, it is the work of Charles Gaspar, pictorialist photographer artist, which is highlighted through a large selection of original and unpublished photographs. Landscapes, art or family portraits, still lifes or even “selfies”, so many themes which wonderfully illustrate his quest for beauty and light...
