If today we remember the miersch of Nicolas Welter, which he depicted in his work Im Werden und Wachsen, then there is another Miersch boy who during his 40 years as a professional photographer documented the former Miersch photographically, in part guessed into oblivion. This exhibition shows works by Edmond Hansen (1878-1941), called De Boski.
In Miersch, opposite the church, he was born in 1878, in the house called a Bosquet. After his apprenticeship as a photographer, Boski settled in his birthplace. He gradually had his studio in three places, until he could afford an apartment with studio and business premises on Arelerstrasse.
He was a photographer, but also a musician, director, lyricist and actor in one person.
With this exhibition, the Mierscher history buffs remember a Mierscher who was in great demand as a photographer throughout the country. His photographs illustrate texts in a number of publications. The old Miersch, from 1900 to 1940, is mainly remembered through its photographs.
