Guided tour through the permanent exhibition
Upon entering the exhibition in the main hall, visitors discover the new exhibition, which includes printed texts, documents, displayed objects, mechanical devices, audio recordings, films, projections, computer graphics, and interactive screens. A variety of media ensures something for everyone.
Enhancing the exhibition, audio testimonies enrich each panel of the historical exhibition. These can be accessed via QR codes using a smartphone.
While the exhibition takes a primarily thematic approach, two timelines on the ground and first floors allow interested visitors to delve into details of the story.
Short biographies also enable visitors to learn about the men and women directly involved in the historical period. These biographies are featured in niches in the main hall, which can be explored either before or after visiting the main historical exhibition. Across these 11 niches, 28 historical figures and 16 contemporary residents of Luxembourg share their lives, as victims, civilians, or active participants.
