Tribute: to Jacques Réda, native of Lunéville

Born on January 24, 1929, in Lunéville, Jacques Réda grew up in Meurthe-et-Moselle, gave up his law studies in Paris, and took up writing. A writer and poet, he is the author of a prolific body of work that does not seek to revolutionize genres, mocking fads and avant-garde movements. A great jazz enthusiast, his entire body of work is imbued with this passion. His style, characterized by masterful improvisation and internal rhythms, draws inspiration from the mundane and everyday. His words express the exuberant beauty of the world and the anxieties of the human condition. He passed away in 2024 in Hyères (Var).
