Dear Miro2021 is finally coming to an end. With everything that happened, the current restrictions, bla-bla-bla … it makes it tough to plan anything. You still have no idea what to do on New Year’s Eve ? Then check our tips ⬇️

___Tip #1:  Pretend to be in New Zealand

Start your day with the haka (it should even become your new morning routine… just so invigorating!💪). Go play rugby. But be careful, you got to be ready to party as of lunch time. Cause yep, New Zealand is one of the first countries on Earth to enter 2022. And by midnight there, it is lunchtime here … which leaves you exactly 11 hours to celebrate before the bars have to close in Luxembourg. So why not go to Madame Jeanette and settle there as of noon (they have a special menu for the occasion)!

___Tip #2 : Become the master of the time

Go to your favorite bar, let’s say Paname. Discreetly set all the clocks ahead by 75 minutes. Then by 10:45, the clocks will show 12:00 and it will time for the famous countdown. It then leaves you 15 minutes to properly wish everyone a Happy New Year before the bar closes. 🎉

___Tip #3 :Party abroad

What a better idea than starting the new year in another country? And what about France, or more precisely Metz? Yes, we know, it’s not very “exotic” BUT bars and restaurants are not closing at 11pm… Just hop on a train, spend some time strolling down the street of the city center and when times come to celebrate go to Aerogare Station Lothaire and drown 2021 at their Cocktail Bar. 🕺

___Tip #4 : Organise une soirée Après-Ski

Stay at home but make it fancy! Cover the floor of your apartment with cotton balls, confetti, sugar, salt... (or whatever looks like snow, no judgement), wear your comfiest ski clothing, and invite your friends over for a raclette party. You can even set a warm atmosphere by turning on Netflix’s virtual fireplace. 🔥 (With a little effort of imagination... you will feel in Chamonix!).

(Well maybe it's easier to meet at the Chalet by Lily)

___Tip #5 : Do nothing

Just consider New Year’s Eve as a regular day: a fluffy couch, a big blanket, a good movie (and of course… a good bottle 😂). What’s great about it ? There’s no “New Year”, so there’s no “New Year’s Resolution”, so no mind torturing reflections about what you didn’t do in 2021, no regrets, no thoughts about what you missed, no pressure to organize the most mind-blowing party… And even better, no need to pay a full-year membership to a gym you’re never going to use (that money will be invested wisely in afterworks throughout the year!) 🥂.
