Asteroid Mission - New exhibition
You're going to have lots of stars in your eyes, with the brand new MNHN exhibition!
Asteroids and comets have been colliding with Earth forever. Even today, the solar system is filled with debris from its origins. Currently, nearly 200 impact structures are known on Earth.
When will a solar system object collide with Earth next? How many near-Earth asteroids are there? How are potentially dangerous asteroids detected? It is very likely that a dangerous asteroid will be discovered in the future. How can we protect ourselves from it?
The “Asteroid Missions” exhibit covers the history of the solar system, the formation and development of asteroids, space resources, Earth's defense and possible future life outside Earth.
What treasures are possibly hidden on these celestial bodies? Who owns space resources? What technological challenges will we have to overcome to be able to live and work in space for a very long time?
The exhibition is dedicated to all these questions.
