On Goethe Street, a stone's throw from Place de Metz, a green wave has swept over Luxembourg. Its name? Matcha Lab.

At the helm is Junn Loh, co-founder of Curious Buds cafes, who brought her bamboo whisks to the capital with a mission, and a significant one at that: to convert all of Luxembourg to matcha. And honestly, she's well on her way.

On the menu? Hot or iced matcha latte, mango or yuzu versions, matcha tea… Enough to seduce enthusiasts as well as curious people who are still wondering why everyone has become addicted to this green drink.

And then there's the place itself. Dark wood, touches of green, soft light, a cozy atmosphere… the perfect spot to take a break, take your time and savor every sip.

We're not going to lie to you: it's already become one of the Supermiro team's headquarters. Our weakness? Hot matcha latte with oat milk. We even know some who would cross the city to get one.

Good news for future matcha master apprentices: bamboo whisks, bowls and teas are also available for sale to recreate the experience at home.

And for those who swear by coffee, a fine selection of specialty coffees is also available. As for those with a sweet tooth, they'll find their bliss with generous homemade cookies, from classic chocolate to the very trendy matcha-pistachio version.

A place to try for a gourmet break, a get-together with friends or simply to slow down for the duration of a cup of coffee.
