"Alone in Berlin" by the Compagnie L’Autre Scène is a historical drama based on the novel "Jeder stirbt für sich allein" by Hans Fallada. The play tells the inspiring story of Otto and Anna Quangel, a Berlin couple who, after the loss of their only son at the front in 1940, begin a solitary resistance against the Nazi regime. Despite the dangers and the intense pursuit by the Gestapo, their determination to challenge oppression shapes their daily lives. Directed by Jean-Luc L’Hôte, this work provides a profound reflection on individual courage in the face of tyranny.
