The Broom Festival, celebrating its 75th anniversary, originated in 1949 and is one of the most renowned folkloric events in Luxembourg. The Broom Festival, which has a new theme each year, takes place on the Whit weekend, from June 7 to 9, 2025. The flower parade, with its diverse participants, parades through the streets of Wiltz on Whit Monday.
Each year, a queen and maids of honor are selected. On the day of the inauguration, June 7, 2025, the new Queen of the Broom ascends her throne. On the day of the parade, June 9, 2025, the queen and her maids of honor participate in the flower parade with their float.
The Queen of the Broom has the mission of representing the town of Wiltz for a year until the enthronement of a new Queen of the Broom.
