Twice nominated for the Opus Klassik Awards 2023 for his album Sopranista, Venezuelan soprano Samuel Mariño is a rising star in the lyrical scene. His breathtaking virtuosity and luminous tone delight in baroque opera, rivalling the legendary feats of the castrati. Similarly, the Concerto de’ Cavalieri, an Italian orchestra performing with period instruments, revives the lively freshness of Vivaldi, Handel, or Scarlatti's repertoire, under the direction of its founder Marcello Di Lisa.
