An impressive system of fortifications, almost entirely disappeared since the Treaty of London in 1867, defended Kirchberg and protected the fortress city. The engineer Vauban, who led the works during the siege in 1684, was tasked with designing a project to reinforce the fortress. The museum offers guided tours of these fortifications.

Duration: two hours. Important: Bring suitable clothing, sturdy shoes, and a flashlight.
