Come on July 4 for Climate Day in the Odendahl Park in Pfaffenthal. Encounters, workshops, conferences and outdoor activities: there's something for everyone to enjoy and learn about climate change.
Everyone is welcome at the Klima-Bündnis Lëtzebuerg Climate Day. The Luxembourg-based communal network is inviting young and old, professionals and the simply curious, to get together on July 4 to discuss its raison d'être: climate change, with a particular focus on adaptation to climate change. The event is part of the Luxembourg Urban Garden (LUGA) program.
ACTIVITIES FOR ALL
Between 2pm and around 9pm, visitors will be able to take part in workshops on how to protect themselves from extreme heat and flooding, or how to green the facade of their home. There will also be a tree-planting and bike tour, as well as visits to specific LUGA locations. At 6:00 p.m., a festive aperitif will bring the event to a close, with the screening of a short film on the 30 years of the municipal network and, of course, a piece of birthday cake.
KLIMA-BÜNDNIS CELEBRATES 30 YEARS
Because Climate Day is also a celebration: the 30th anniversary of Klima-Bündnis in Luxembourg. Klima-Bündnis' members, the municipalities, will be present at the event, not only with speeches but also with the presentation of flagship municipal projects that have won the European Climate Star award for climate protection initiatives.
