📖 This novel tells the story of Milan, an 11-year-old boy. At the end of the summer of 1994, his mother imposes on him the presence of a supposed cousin his own age, Claude. Initially disturbed by this wounded and silent boy from Rwanda, he doesn't know yet that it's the beginning of a long journey that will lead him to the roots of his family's mystery and the origins of the tragedy in Rwanda, which is rebuilding after the Tutsi genocide. There, he finds a family: his grandmother Eusébie, generous and determined, Claude, always dreamy, and little Stella, who often takes refuge at the top of the jacaranda tree, her favorite. The book is available in libraries, only in French.
