Exhibition - French Prisoners of War in Germany (1939-1945)
In the spring of 1940, 1,850,000 French soldiers were captured by the German army. Many were transferred to Germany into specialized camps. This exhibition recounts their surrender, daily life in the camps, work conditions, and moments of reprieve. It highlights the challenges they overcame until their liberation in the spring of 1945.
