Victor Aubrac is a renowned and proud theater author. Suffering from a lack of inspiration, he bases his new play on the best friends of his wife, Adeline. Much to her dismay, he caricatures their traits and flaws. During an evening gathering where they are all present, Victor enthusiastically presents this project to his 'characters'. Confident in his international acclaim, he believes he is bestowing them a great honor for which they will be deeply grateful. But is that the case?
