The Armament of the Federal Contingent
The weapons of the artillery and cavalry were delivered but were sold again during the reorganization of 1847/48, notably to Denmark, which waged war against the German Confederation. The rifles of the rifle battalions also evolved with the introduction of the Minié system and were subsequently replaced by needle rifles. From 1872, the 'Luxemburgische Jägergewehr System Remington' was adopted. In Luxembourgish, free of charge.
