"Shakespeare in Love" (USA, 1998), directed by John Madden. Original version subtitled in French (vostFR), duration of 123 minutes. Cast: Gwyneth Paltrow, Joseph Fiennes, Geoffrey Rush, Judi Dench, Tom Wilkinson. This film received the Oscar for Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay, and five other awards in 1999. A romantic comedy from the 1990s set in the 1590s, it creatively and humorously narrates the timeless love story behind the creation of one of the greatest love tales ever told. The plot features a young Shakespeare, out of resources and ideas, who is inspired by meeting his ideal woman.
