Since discovering raku in 1999, an ancient Japanese technique, Sophie Reato has continually reinvented this art of fire. Her universe unfolds between the delicacy of ceramics and the strength of steel, giving rise to feminine, airy, and finely detailed works. Inspired by nature, the animal and plant world, and Japanese ethnic influences, she creates colorful and expressive pieces where toucans, stylized flowers, and samurai references interact with joyful energy.
