Dive into the magic of the Lantern Trail
A veritable institution initiated by the Department, the Sentier des Lanternes (Lantern Trail) will once again transport you into the magic of Christmas from November 22 to December 30 in the beautiful setting of Square Boufflers in Metz.
This year, the Moselle Department is enhancing the Lantern Trail with 14 new light installations that invite young and old alike to stroll through a magical Christmas village. As you stroll along, the central square comes alive with a thousand lights: the little houses light up, the Ferris wheel sparkles, the ice rink comes to life in a snowy setting, while the entrance arch welcomes visitors in a warm and poetic atmosphere.
The Lantern Trail is designed as a total artistic experience: architectural lights enhancing the trees in the square, original music played through around thirty spatialized speakers, sound effects and smoke machines to recreate the atmosphere of a snow-covered forest... Everything has been designed to envelop visitors in a poetic and immersive atmosphere.
At the end of the trail, a welcoming space will offer seasonal treats and a carousel, prolonging the festive magic in a warm and indulgent atmosphere.
