To celebrate Christmas, the municipal harmony of Metz, conducted by Arnaud Tutin, revives the elegance of the Renaissance with the William Byrd Suite, a collection of keyboard pieces by the Elizabethan composer, finely orchestrated by Gordon Jacob. In the second part, the Choir of Saint-Stephen's Cathedral in Metz, conducted by Christophe Bergossi, joins the ensemble to perform the Christmas cantata Morning Star by Lloyd Larson, a moving work intertwining new melodies and traditional songs. Designed for choir and narrators, it celebrates the hope and light of Christ through an accessible and inspiring musical narrative.
