The film "Malevych" tells the story of the life and artistic journey of Kazimir Malevich, born in Kyiv, who became one of the major reformers of modern art. It traces his path to the avant-garde and the creation of the famous Black Square. Through his life story, the film also portrays his struggle for artistic freedom in the face of Soviet censorship, echoing contemporary events and the deliberate destruction of Ukrainian culture by the Russians.
