Blood donation allows collection of all blood components (red cells, plasma, and platelets) in just a few minutes, which are then separated after the collection. This is the most common type of donation. Before your donation, make sure there are no contraindications and that you are in good health. Have a good breakfast or balanced lunch, stay hydrated (water or fruit juice), and avoid alcoholic beverages before your donation. Upon arrival, our team will check your identity and give you a questionnaire to fill in before the medical interview. The medical interview ensures your safety and that of recipients. If there are any contraindications, our staff will explain the reasons. The donation is performed lying down and takes a few minutes. The amount collected ranges from 420 to 480 ml, depending on the person. After your donation, enjoy a convivial break with refreshments together with the team and other donors.
