With such a great line-up, we didn't dare put on a bad show. We could have written many things, crafted standard phrases and praised his pen. We could have said “grandson of farmers”, “first loves”, “unknown parent”, or “sideways glances in the restrooms”. We could have. We could have said “honesty, transparency, truth”, but it sounded a bit awkward.
