Dominique Chipot is one of the haiku specialists. As a haijin (haiku author) himself, he has written several technical or historical essays and adapted Japanese haikus translated by Makoto Kemmoku into French. He writes the free monthly "Ploc¡ la lettre du haïku." Recently published works include "Le temps d'un instant - Un haïku par jour avec l'ours dansant" (Pippa Editions) and "Pèlerin des nuages et des eaux" (Éditions de la Table Ronde), featuring seven hundred haikus by Hôsai Ozaki, also known as Hôsai.
