Light Damage was born from an encounter in September 2005 and was immediately oriented towards progressive rock influences. The band began by covering only Pink Floyd and Genesis, among others, in order to quickly appear at some events in the Arlon region. Light Damage's music is closer to progressive rock than any other style but stands apart from the prog rock of the 70s. The broad range of influences among the band's members (Genesis, Marillion, Porcupine Tree, King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Dream Theater, as well as classical music, jazz, and electro) combined with subtle concepts in the structure of the songs and the lyrics, makes the music of Light Damage original yet accessible.
