After Les Gardiennes in 2023-2024, author and director Nasser Djemaï, director of the Théâtre des Quartiers d'Ivry – CDN du Val-de-Marne, a leader in contemporary dramatic writing, brings to the Théâtre des Capucins his new creation, Kolizion, a modern fable recounting the life of Mehdi, the seventh son of his family, destined for a brilliant career. On the night Mehdi is born, his mother Hayat (meaning "Life" in Arabic) sees a vision of two shooting stars colliding and exploding to form her son's face in a halo of light. She names him Mehdi: “the guide illuminated by God.” Mehdi is a unique, endearing, and curious boy. As a teenager, he excels at everything, despite a path filled with challenges, twists, and humor. Just when his future seems set, a serious accident suddenly shakes his entire world and raises questions about the meaning of life. Kolizion is a luminous monologue—the unique journey of an extraordinary boy, portrayed by Radouan Leflahi. It is the intimate quest of a being towards himself.
