Synopsis
Reunion Island, 1817. After his mother's death, the slave Furcy discovers documents that could prove he is a free man. With the help of an abolitionist prosecutor, he embarks on a legal battle to have his rights recognized. Inspired by a true story. Adapted from the book "L’Affaire de l’esclave Furcy" by Mohammed Aïssaoui.
