Formed in San Francisco, Deafheaven consists of vocalist George Clarke, guitarists Kerry McCoy and Shiv Mehra, bassist Christopher Johnson, and drummer Daniel Tracy. The band gained acclaim with their groundbreaking 2013 album, Sunbather, redefining the boundaries of heavy music. Over a decade later, Rolling Stone described their sixth studio album, Lonely People With Power (2025), as “ragingly beautiful”, confirming their status as one of the most consistent and transformative forces in modern heavy music.
