Every Wednesday, join the KnowEdge community to learn house dance and discover your potential as a dancer! Open Floor: House Dance is a dance jam where you can dance freely to house music. This is a 'safe space' where amateurs and professionals get together and share a friendly moment, sometimes with a DJ. House dance is a social dance to house music that mixes salsa, capoeira, tap dance, bboying, and more. It appeared in the 1970s and 1980s in Chicago and New York clubs. The house dance practiced here is improvised and focuses on fast, complex steps, bounces, and floorwork. All levels are welcome.
