Known for his immense successes, director Pierre Guillois presents a new show overflowing with imagination and humor. In a countryside where pesticides are taking their toll and pit bulls are decimating the flock, we follow a very, very dysfunctional farming family. Running the farm quickly becomes exhausting, especially when the father puts up fences with his buttocks bare, the mother chain-smokes at the back of her bed, and the son remains haunted by the ghost of his brother who took his own life. While the humans go too far, the sheep laugh and philosophize. The audience experiences every emotion as the situations unfold—sometimes dark, but immediately counterbalanced by liberating laughter. Both a rural drama and a burlesque play, Foutue Bergerie is a colorful comedy about our blunders, our flaws and our hopes.
