From Hollywood to Vienna, the Orchestre national de Metz Grand Est invites us to joyful New Year's concerts: the seventh art has uncovered some of the finest gems of classical music, such as Stanley Kubrick did in 'A Clockwork Orange' with the overture from 'La Pie voleuse' and 'Pomp and Circumstance.' John Williams has also enriched film repertoire with memorable themes, including those from 'Jurassic Park' and the 'Indiana Jones March.' Luchino Visconti brings us closer to Vienna by using Mahler’s Fifth Symphony Adagietto in 'Death in Venice.' To conclude, hear works by Mozart and the Strauss family, with the traditional Radetzky March, as expected from Vienna New Year's concerts.
