The National Day, undoubtedly one of the flagship festivities in Luxembourg, is celebrated every year on June 23 in honor of the Grand Duke's birthday.
On June 23, official ceremonies take place throughout the day, including a military parade, the Te Deum in the late afternoon, and the traditional 21-gun salute fired from the Fetschenhof. Performances of the national anthem "Ons Heemecht," with lyrics by Michel Lentz, are also on the program.
