Repair Cafés are volunteer meetings where participants repair their broken items together: IT (hardware & software), furniture, electrical appliances, games, textiles/clothes, bicycles, mechanical devices, etc. If you have skills in electronics, woodworking, mechanics, sewing, etc., you can also help the Repair Café by assisting with welcoming and organizing. For touchscreen or smartphone devices, only diagnostic and advice services will usually be offered. For full repairs, it is best to go through a specialized shop. Before coming, check the power supply and maintenance of your device. Remember to bring all necessary items for testing your object to be repaired (e.g., coffee for a coffee machine, cable, manual, spare parts, etc.). It is possible there won’t be competent repairers for every item on the day of the event.
