UniPop, in collaboration with PassaParola, is organising a film debate around the film "L’Arrivée de la Jeunesse." After the screening, there will be a discussion with the director, Mr. Fabio Bottani, and the producer, Mrs. Maria Grazia Galati, who will be available to further discuss the addressed topics. This medium-length film, shown in original Luxembourgish and Italian version with French subtitles, traces a century of Italian immigration to Luxembourg through the saga of a family, from Mario's arrival as a miner in 1909 to the present day. The film features five generations facing the realities of their times and highlights the Jeunesse Esch-sur-Alzette football team, a symbol of this community. Inspired by Remo Ceccarelli's book and created for Esch2022 European Capital of Culture, the film alternates between archives and fictional scenes.
