Sewing Course – Beginner & Intermediate Level [SOLD OUT]

Participants who already have the basics can bring their own project, and the sessions will focus on guidance with advice (on fabrics, on the sewing machine), tips, and steps to successfully complete their sewing project. If participants do not have project ideas, sewing and pattering books will be offered. Beginners will discover the basics of sewing: This course aims to introduce participants to the art of sewing, while exploring the basics through its vocabulary, the use of machines, their accessories, fabrics, and by creating study pieces and accessories. You will learn to master the basics of sewing by discovering the sewing machine and the serger, understanding their functionalities. You will make simple accessories; pouches, tote bags, cases, to learn how to attach accessories (type: zippers, buttons..) You will discover the various finishing seams and assembly, as well as the assembly of different collars and pockets. You will learn to read industrial patterns, to alter your garments, but most importantly, to create your own pieces. So come and discover the art of sewing and enjoy a great moment of sharing. Equipment: measuring tape, scissors, thread cutter/seam ripper, pins, white/black thread, ruler, cotton canvas, chalk or Frixion pen, pattern paper, sewing machine needles (70–100).
