OFF Documentary evening at Le Gueulard cultural café

Show & Culture

The documentary festival Le Réel en vue joins Le Gueulard cultural café for a screening of two documentaries about mining heritage: Forbach 1985 by Florent Ferreira and Entre deux mondes by Maxime Simone. Forbach 1985 looks back at the 25 February 1985 explosion at the Simon mine in Forbach through the accounts of a rescue miner, witnesses and victims’ families, alongside archive material and animation. Entre deux mondes follows volunteers from the Association d’Histoire Industrielle as they recreate the experience of working in the Hussigny-Godbrange mine using authentic mining machinery and former miners’ testimonies.
