This continuation course deepens the foundations built in Getting Started with Drawing, with a stronger focus on drawing and watercolor. Through guided practice, you’ll refine your observation skills, strengthen your sense of composition, and explore more confident ways of combining line and color. We’ll work on quick sketches, value studies, watercolor layering, water control, and texture techniques, while learning to build expressive images from both direct observation and personal interpretation. Themes will vary- urban scenes, botanicals, objects, and landscapes - and sessions will alternate between indoor studio time and outdoor sketching when possible. You don’t need to buy many materials. Start with what you have at home. For the first class, bring what you can: pencils, eraser, fine liners, colored pencils, sketching paper, watercolor paper, palette, water container, cloth and brushes
