A double bill with the Ballet de Lorraine, for which the new director, Maud Le Pladec, places everyone in a permanent climax. Static Shot is a sequence shot in which movement and gaze never stop. The flow of gestures increases in crescendo, inviting the spectators to endless ecstasy. It precedes A Folia, which is inspired by 15th-century Portuguese fertility rituals: shepherds and shepherdesses danced while carrying men disguised as women on their shoulders. Marco da Silva Ferreira creates a fictional encounter between the festivals of the time and the quest for collective ecstasy in contemporary dance.
