Italian for Beginners (Dogma #12)
"Italian for Beginners" (Dogma #12) is a Danish film directed by Lone Scherfig in 2000. In a suburb, a young pastor arrives to resume duties at the local church. He is persuaded by his assistant to join an evening Italian course and becomes the focus of a group of people each facing their own hardships. Silhouette in the Dogma, and the most accessible to date, this film speaks the international language of proletariat love. It subtly transforms the quotidian into the magical through realism and the cast's remarkable talent.
