Regelmäßige Führung: Viaggio in Italia
The exhibition explores Italy's iconic cities and regions through artwork from the past four centuries. Paintings, watercolors, and sculptures highlight southern light, architectural elegance, and the omnipresence of antiquity, illustrated by Roman-inspired sculptures and authentic Greek vases.
The tour begins in Naples, showcasing the Bay of Naples and the city's picturesque details. Following, an interlude into the genre of capriccios displays imaginative landscapes of ancient ruins. Rome is presented with its spectacular squares, Florence with its characteristic Tuscan landscapes, and Milan as a historic and industrial center. Finally, Venice and its famous vedute, including works by the painter Canaletto, are featured, along with neighboring cities such as Udine and Verona.
An interactive space invites families to create their own capriccio using elements from the exhibited artworks.
