In this talk, Erik Kessels will showcase how the everyday becomes extraordinary and explain how to work and storytelling with the re-appropriation of images. He also explores the role of images in today's world and introduces alternative perspectives beyond mere consumption.
Erik Kessels is a Dutch artist, curator, and communication designer. He is a creative partner at the communications agency KesselsKramer in Amsterdam and London. Since 1996, he has published over 100 books of 're-appropriated' images and authored international bestsellers like "Failed It!" and "Complete Amateur".
Kessels has taught at prestigious art academies and curated exhibitions, including "Loving Your Pictures," "Mother Nature," "24HRS in Photos," and "Album Beauty."
