On Sunday 18 May Chorale St Michel and Le Madrigal de Luxembourg will join forces in what will undoubtedly be a memorable concert celebrating their 175th and 60th anniversaries, respectively. The conducting will be shared between Gerry Welter (Chorale St Michel's conductor) and Jochen Schaaf (Le Madrigal de Luxembourg's conductor), and the programme will consist of two works by Mozart: the Vesperae solennes de Confessore and Exsultate, jubilate, and two by Haydn: the Missa in Angustiis (also known as the Nelson Mass) and his Te Deum. In addition to a fine roster of soloists, the two choirs will be accompanied by the Schöneck Ensemble.
