Pain Magazine is the new project bringing together Birds in Row, Louisahhh, and Maelstrom. The French trio Birds in Row, known for their intense performances and sharp lyrics, has built a strong following since 2009, appearing in festivals like Dour and Roadburn. The Franco-American techno duo Maelstrom and Louisahhh, active since 2013, released their first album in 2023 on their label RAAR, aiming to "make techno for punks." Their collaboration with Birds in Row resulted in the album "Violent God," written in 16 days. This piece combines Birds in Row's heavy instrumentals, Maelstrom's precise machines, and Louisahhh's screams, exploring themes of belief and defiance. All the artists involved in this new project have long been driven by values of authenticity and integrity, constantly perfecting their sounds and words.
