The bilingual travelling exhibition in French and German, displayed from March 8 to September 15 at the National Museum in Esch-sur-Alzette, delves into the journeys and experiences of 7,000 women deported from France and Luxembourg to the Ravensbrück concentration camp due to political persecution. It highlights the diversity of social and national backgrounds and showcases how traditional gender roles shaped resistance and persecution. Stories of resistance, imprisonment, and survival are illustrated through selected biographies.
