Aline Bouvy is a Belgian-Luxembourg artist with a multidisciplinary approach. In her artistic journey, she does not favor any particular medium: the exhibition itself becomes her medium, a playground where the body undergoes experimentation. Her works explore identity, bodies, intimacy, and taboos. At Casino Luxembourg, her solo exhibition "Hot Flashes" examines the transition from childhood to adulthood, a period essential in shaping and developing individuals. The exhibition offers a critical view of life stages—constantly influenced, constrained by educational, social, moral, familial, and political beliefs, observed by others, and subject to relative freedom. Utilizing optical effects and perceptual exploration, "Hot Flashes" delves into questions of scale and perspective. New works created specifically for this exhibition reflect on how perception influences our relationship with the body and space.
