"Zempia, Heads or Tails" – "Neither good nor bad choice, as long as you are not where you want to be" This creation is about the inner struggle of people in emigration situations. Zempia gives the floor to courageous beings who constantly stand up to achieve and find a certain balance. They are in an in-between; between yesterday and today, halfway to a more stable status or situation. Amidst the turmoil, there is a sense of isolation, amidst reflection a certain indifference. Where to find the strength to overcome inner conflicts and heal invisible wounds? How to appease the violence that springs forth in the face of the unbearable? How to soothe one's feelings in the face of injustice? Against a backdrop of immigration, this creation explores the inner universe of the human being, capable of transforming their suffering into happiness, sadness into joy, insensitivity into emotion. Modestine Ekete shows us a human being who gathers their mental, psychological, and spiritual strengths to accomplish and find their justice.
