Conference: Discovering Myxomycetes or Blobs
Myxomycetes, neither animals nor plants nor fungi, are fascinating unicellular organisms that mainly feed on bacteria. Alongside Serge Dufays, a CNB nature guide and passionate mycologist, discover their life cycle comprising two stages: the plasmodium, where they actively forage, and the fructification, leading to spore dispersion to ensure species survival. Observe examples such as the flower of tan, lycogala epidendrum, and mucilage crustacea, and be amazed by their diversity and unique features.
