Teatro di Verzura ('Theatre of Greenery') revisits baroque opera in a scenographic dialogue with Lise Duclaux, a visual artist inspired by the observation of nature and, in particular, vegetation. Combining singing and performance, Stéphane Ghislain Roussel's direction reinterprets the baroque aesthetic to express an invisible or forgotten life – plants, insects, etc. Featuring a selection of lyrical works by Monteverdi and his contemporaries presented by the polyphonic talent of the ensemble Canto LX, the production offers a complete sensory and emotional experience.
