After The Great Nymph and IDA don't cry me love, Lara Barsacq continues her exploration of art history through the feminine perspective. The artist focuses on the legacy of Kassia of Constantinople, a poet and musician who led an Orthodox monastery in the 9th century. Fascinating her era with her intelligence and audacity, she remains one of the earliest medieval composers whose scores have been preserved. On stage, eight performers, including dancers and singers, will bring to life scenes illuminated by her forgotten works, evoking their deceased in a captivating performance that explores necromancy.
