Exhibition opening: What grows on the whale, stays.
“What grows on the whale, stays.”
Vincent Chevillon
For the Māori, whales are considered the origin of the world and guardians of the land and oceans. This exhibition explores these narratives by intertwining myths, nature, and human reflection through the artistic work of Vincent Chevillon. The journey includes a route stretching from the reserves of a European museum to the distant reaches of New Zealand, highlighting interspecies relationships and dialogues between sciences and stories.
Exhibition Curator: Vanessa Gandar.
